What we can offer you
The type of system you choose to have installed will depend on the size of your garden, and whether or not you would like sprinklers in your lawn. We can either install a simple irrigation system that runs directly off the mains water supply, or a pressure system which uses a pump inside a tank, fed by your mains water supply. The former is ideal for a small garden that contains primarily flower beds and uses drip pipe (less visible) and/or micro sprinklers (easy to move around). The latter is best suited to big gardens with lawns and/or beds using a combination of pop-up sprinklers, drip pipe and micro sprinklers.

PRESSURE SYSTEMS
These are perfect for keeping gardens with lawns and flower beds looking lush throughout the year. The installation process involves trenching through lawns where necessary and setting up a valve box from which zones can be manually controlled. A 30m by 40m garden might have three zones of four pop-ups each. A tank is positioned somewhere unobtrusive which is filled from the mains water supply when required. We will also place a control box (the brain of the system) somewhere inconspicuous in your garden, such as behind a shed. To run the system, this control box (powered by mains electricity) sends a small current to the valve it wants to open in order to water a particular zone. An 'irristart' registers the resulting drop in pressure and triggers the pump.
We generally use 32mm or 25mm pipe for pressure systems. You won't have to worry about piercing the pipe with your mower or other garden utensils as it will be deep in the soil.
